It is the goal of The Black Mental Health Corporation to rebuild these communities, one family at a time through excellent mental health, community based and social assistance services.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Our History:</strong> TBMHC was created by founder, Desmond Yanamayu with black people in mind, after realizing this diverse population experiences challenges and struggles that are unique from many other racial/ethnic groups. Because of this, he wanted to create a space where black people could feel comfortable getting counseling with someone who understood their issues. We welcome candidates from all ethnicities and backgrounds who are committed to making a difference in the lives of children, adolescents, and families.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate the admission process, including the completion of necessary intake forms and releases.</li>\n<li>Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine eligibility and diagnostic criteria for children, adolescents, and families.</li>\n<li>Provide individual, group, and family counseling, including facilitating specific child and family groups and programs.</li>\n<li>Deliver crisis intervention and perform risk assessments as needed.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with children, guardians, and treatment providers to develop specific treatment goals.</li>\n<li>Complete treatment plans and necessary documentation in a timely manner.</li>\n<li>Meet productivity requirements while providing tailored counseling services for a range of issues, including trauma, addiction, and grief.</li>\n<li>Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure effective service delivery based on clinical needs.</li>\n<li>Offer guidance on community resources and facilitate referrals as appropriate.</li>\n<li>Document assessment results, treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.</li>\n<li>Engage in supervision and professional development activities to ensure comprehensive care.</li>\n<li>Comply with all federal, state, and funding regulatory requirements.</li>\n<li>Perform additional duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience in social work or family therapy</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of conflict management techniques</li>\n<li>Familiarity with case management principles</li>\n<li>Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments</li>\n<li>Certification or licensure in family therapy or related field</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and License Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field in Mental Health.</li>\n<li>Licensed (LMFT,LSW, LPC,) or Independently licensed in the state of Ohio (LISW, LPCC, IMFT).</li>\n<li>CANS certification preferred</li>\n</ul>",
