    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong>:</p><p>Rochester Midland Corporation is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for their Ogden NY facility. &nbsp;With minimal guidance, the Maintenance Mechanic will function as the in-house professional for any maintenance and/or construction needs for the building and equipment. This position will closely collaborate with the Sr. Maintenance Mechanic and the Sr. Facilities Maintenance Technician on maintenance needs and improvement projects while maintaining a strong work ethic and a focus on safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance tasks on production (Blending &amp; Packaging) and facility equipment</li><li>Responsible for continued use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment</li><li>Diagnose &amp; trouble shoot operational, process, mechanical, and electrical problems&nbsp;</li><li>Install &amp; repair industrial pumps (electric &amp; AOD), Valves (actuated &amp; manual) with materials of construction (metal: steel, stainless, bronze) or PVC and Piping (SS, PVC, copper, etc.)</li><li>Maintain the cleanliness of the shop and functional condition of all tools</li><li>Rebuild necessary equipment components as needed</li><li>Represent the RMC values, objectives, and policies</li><li>Maintain a neat and orderly work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures and requirements to ensure a safe and clean work environment</li><li>Install production and facility equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications</li><li>Operate the Wastewater Treatment system when necessary</li><li>Perform general janitorial or custodial duties as required</li><li>Perform similar, comparable, or related duties may be required</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION/SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent; higher education (AAS or higher) preferred</li><li>Skilled trade certification(s) or equivalent work experience preferred</li></ul><p><strong>EXPERIENCE:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>3-5 years&rsquo; experience as a maintenance mechanic or technician for commercial or manufacturing facility</li><li>2 years&rsquo; experience in facilities and custodial maintenance in a commercial or office environment</li><li>2 years&rsquo; experience with forklift and scissor lift operation</li><li>Previous boiler, pipe cutting, welding, industrial design etc. preferred</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Understanding of methods, materials, tools, and equipment to perform repairs &amp; preventative maintenance</li><li>Ability to advise (potential failures, recommendations/ improvements)</li><li>Analytical problem solving and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical problems</li><li>Ability to work independently, perform physical labor; and follow instructions.&nbsp;</li><li>Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus</li><li>Mechanically inclined, and possess agility/ manual dexterity to safely operate hand and power tools</li><li>Basic computer and email proficiency, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>COMPETENCIES:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Effective communication skills to include verbal, nonverbal and listening skills</li><li>Strong ability to build relationships to include culture building &amp; teamwork</li><li>Self-motivated</li><li>Professionalism</li><li>Drive for results, action oriented while ensuring accountability</li><li>Trouble shooting, problem solving and technical knowledge &amp; skill</li><li>Approachable&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent safety standards &amp; awareness&nbsp;</li><li>Quality &amp; continuous improvement minded</li><li>Effective, accurate &amp; thorough</li><li>Resourceful &amp; adaptable</li><li>Trust, integrity, &amp; ability to collaborate</li><li>Planning &amp; priority setting</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Exposure to both office &amp; manufacturing environments</li><li>Occasional extra hours and emergency call-ins could be required</li><li>Exposure to noise levels up to 80 decibels</li><li>Wearing proper PPE (safety glasses/goggles/shield, safety shoes, hearing protection, etc.) is required</li><li>Working &amp; performing tasks safely from elevated work platforms or ladders</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Crawling, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and climbing.</li><li>Must be able to remain on feet for extended periods and be able to lift/carry/move up to 50 lbs</li></ul></div></div></div>\n",
