AV/VC Maintenance Technician - W2 Contract Location: San Francisco and Mountain View, CA SweetRush has an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join our Talent Solutions team. If you are a caring innovator who believes work should be life-centered and impactful, then this is where you come in… About the Opportunity: This is a W2 contract opportunity with SweetRush and you would be working directly with one of our autonomous vehicle clients.  You would be the primary on-site support tech who helps maintain the integrity and functionality of all local conference rooms by performing daily sweep inspections and AV basic triage/troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be highly driven to learn and advance his/her technical skills. This is an on-site position where you would be splitting your time between the client’s offices in Mountain View and San Francisco, California.  This is a W2 contract position with SweetRush and will be 40 hours per week for a one-year contract.  Other requirements include being able to lift up to 80 pounds.   Location: On-site in the San Francisco office, 3 days a week, and the Mountain View office, 2 days a week. Contract Type: W2 Project Duration: 12 months Project Capacity: 40 Hours/Week Start Date:  ASAP  Salary/Hourly Range:  $25-30/hour  Your Impact and Responsibilities Complete daily sweep inspections of all conference rooms. Daily room sweeps require the following: All AV user cables are in good physical condition and passing signal.  All power cables are in place and correctly powering laptops.  Confirm conference room controllers and schedulers are functional.  Audio and video are transmitted without disruption  No burnout or ghosting on Monitors  Troubleshooting and break/fix resolution or escalation for all AV equipment or related requests  Mac Mini, iPad, and conference room peripheral Software/Hardware updates as applicable  Knowledge of Extron and Crestron Systems, Biamp DSPs, and Google Meet VC  Event Support Vendor quote & visit coordination  AV Inventory Management  Oversee the replenishment and allocation of inventory:  Order, Track, and replace Hardware  Provide setup, operation, troubleshooting, and breakdown of the client’s all-hands event meetings.  Storage organization  Unboxing of Equipment Asset tagging Ticket queue management  The contractor must be able to use a ladder  The contractor  must be able to lift up to 80 pounds    What You Bring    Minimum of 2 years of experience in the audiovisual or related field SIP and Slack knowledge, along with familiarity with the AV/VC industry, including integrators, hardware manufacturers, and best practices, is also required Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively Strong focus and organizational skills  Understanding or willingness to learn wiring diagrams and signal flow  Basic knowledge of AV integration and installation Basic understanding of multiple DSPs and AV control systems including QSC, Shure, Crestron, Extron.  Basic understanding of network engineering concepts and implementations. Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize multiple competing tasks Exposure as an operating technician for live audiovisual special events is advantageous  Requirements Based on site in our San Francisco office 3 days a week and Mountain View office 2 days a week.  The AV/VC Maintenance Technician L1 will provide support for corporate AV/VC environments and will confidently and quickly analyze problems using technical diagnostic skill sets in order to effectively support and resolve issues.  Technical responsibilities include high-profile event support, audio, video, conferencing technology, projects, maintenance, and support.  The position involves a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with executives and directors, to provide the services listed above, and requires a flexible approach to working schedules, including early start and late finish.  Hands-on delivery of events either on-site or remotely via / Zoom / Panopto / Google Meet  Work with teams and stakeholders using ticketing or booking system to coordinate events Provide full event production support either on your own for smaller events or as part of a team for larger events  Manage the day-to-day housekeeping and maintenance of event spaces  Work with clients/stakeholders who might not be technically minded in pre-production to explain the capabilities of the space and go over best practices to ensure the event is a success  Provide feedback on possible enhancements and improvements to the space  Manage client expectations on production issues  Liaise across different levels within the immediate team, the client’s organization, and third-party vendors  Escalate any operational issues to the appropriate level of support and make suggestions for improvements  Ensure all equipment is operational prior to events, has been tested, and escalates when there are logistical issues that could impact the event Basic Video encoding and editing skills  May operate event production equipment, including but not limited to audio mixer, lighting desk, video switcher, and PTZ cameras, and operation  Video/Audio conference setup support  Ensure all equipment is operational in advance of the meeting and hand over to the host to be able to operate the call  Manages equipment and software upgrades  Assist with support for video/audio conferencing problems  Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify, working with external vendors when necessary AV Meeting Room Support  Ensure all multimedia/presentation rooms are maintained in good working order AV equipment set-up and support  Presentation/multimedia meeting room support, including duration support  Assist with support for multimedia broadcasting  Quick response to emergency/ad-hoc requests  Faults & Room Checks  Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure  Ensure that all faults are reported in the correct way and in a timely manner  Proactive maintenance/reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly  Providing support, including on-the-spot diagnosis and rectification of faults and problems as and when they occur, escalating using established procedures  Maintaining the cleanliness and presentability of all AV rooms, stores and equipment  Providing feedback for service improvements     SweetRush Is an Equal Opportunity Employer We are committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
