The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates project activities to ensure goals of project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Review schedules with the superintendent for each project including the required timetables for work performed by subcontractors</li>\n <li>Work as a team with assigned foreman and superintendent to build project in a controlled manner. Manage and coordinate with subcontractor</li>\n <li>Coordinate with purchasing the requisition of materials and furnish information for proper coding of invoices</li>\n <li>Provide modifications resulting in change orders</li>\n <li>Shares with the Estimator in the processing of plan revisions for change orders and distribute as required</li>\n <li>Process Additional Work Authorizations (AWA’s) for change order submission</li>\n <li>Coordinate and process change orders or technical problems with client requirements, suppliers, superintendents, and subcontractors</li>\n <li>Review project cost reports each day</li>\n <li>Visit project sites for troubleshooting and for the purposes of ensuring project quality. Site visits to be at least once a week </li>\n <li>Oversee project security and safety</li>\n <li>Prepare project AIA Billing requisitions with project secretary</li>\n <li>Review all purchase orders, delivery tickets, subcontractor requisitions, and invoices to see that they are coded correctly for project costing</li>\n <li>Maintain all project files: submittals, shop drawings, maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, punch lists</li>\n <li>Occasionally meet with all subcontractors/suppliers for project coordination</li>\n <li>Maintain a log for all submittals and shop drawings</li>\n <li>Assist with new project transitions and pre-job planning</li>\n <li>Chair all project meetings</li>\n <li>Meet or exceed project objectives as determined in the pre-job planning process</li>\n <li>Provide accurate percent complete status on projects to accounting each month</li>\n <li>Conduct a thorough analysis of job costs vs. budget each month</li>\n <li>Report to top management each month on gross margin improvement strategies and accomplishments</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant field from an accredited four-year college or university\n  <ul>\n   <li>A combination of education and experience may be considered</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Five years of experience in Heavy Civil Constriction relevant to this region</li>\n <li>Driver’s license and clean driving record</li>\n <li>Effective verbal and written communication</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills including internet and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and specialized project software</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ten years of experience in Heavy Civil Constriction relevant to this region</li>\n <li>Certified PE</li>\n <li>OSHA and/or other applicable safety certifications and training</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Sit</li>\n   <li>Use hands to finder, handle or feel</li>\n   <li>Talk or hear</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Occasionally required to:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl</li>\n   <li>Reach with hands and arms</li>\n   <li>Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Close</li>\n   <li>Color</li>\n   <li>Ability to adjust focus</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to drive</li>\n <li>Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions</li>\n <li>Noise level is usually moderate</li>\n <li>Regularly exceeds 40 hours/week</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The H&K Group, Inc. </strong>provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.
