Overview Minco is a global provider of thermal solutions, temperature sensing and control solutions, and flex circuit solutions for medical, aerospace, defense, oil and gas, power generation, and other high-reliability applications. Our experienced team couples advanced product technologies, expert design and engineering services, and a deep understanding of our customers’ applications to provide comprehensive solutions that meet exacting requirements for quality, reliability, and performance. Minco is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and optimize control systems for our manufacturing processes. This role focuses on motion control, test & data acquisition, SCADA, and safety of automated equipment while contributing to continuous process improvement and innovation. Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize control systems to automate manufacturing processes, ensuring operational efficiency and minimal downtime. Develop and program PLCs, HMIs, and other automation hardware for seamless integration into production systems. Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues, minimizing disruptions to production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and quality departments, to improve process control and system performance. Provide technical support for new equipment installations and upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Create and maintain detailed documentation for control systems, including diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Stay updated on the latest advancements in automation technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or related Engineering field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in control system design, automation, and implementation, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficient with PLC programming, HMI design, Ignition Inductive Automation / SCADA systems, SQL, C/C+, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus). LabView proficiency is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in control systems, instrumentation, and automation. Familiarity with safety standards and compliance regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA). Why Minco?
