    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary: </span></p>\n<p>We are seeking an initiative-taking and results-driven Senior Financial Analyst / Manager that is ready to take a leading role within our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&amp;A) Team. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning &amp; Analysis, the role will support financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting across all functions at Verastem.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<p>Financial Planning &amp; Analysis</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with short-term and long-term financial planning including the development and execution of annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes across departments</li>\n<li>Analyze variances between actuals, budget, and forecast; provide actionable insights</li>\n<li>Streamline the delivery of timely, relevant, and accurate data to stakeholders</li>\n<li>Provide operational FP&amp;A support in the form of expense reporting, performance variances, and root cause analysis</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Performance Tracking, Data Visualization &amp; Reporting</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Workday Adaptive Planning</li>\n<li>Design, implement, and maintain Performance Management Packages across all functions of Verastem</li>\n<li>Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership</li>\n<li>Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting tools and sources</li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline processes</li>\n<li>Implement tools, models, and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Participate in other ad-hoc projects, roles, and workload sharing between Finance and Accounting as appropriate</p>\n<p>Other related duties, as assigned<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field</li>\n<li>5+ years of experience in financial reporting/analysis or related field experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry</li>\n<li>Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting</li>\n<li>Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.</li>\n<li>Experience with financial planning tools (Workday Adaptive Planning preferred) and ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred).</li>\n<li>Effective communication skills, ability to effectively interact with others at all levels, within and outside of finance. Ability to tailor communication to the audience to achieve desired results</li>\n<li>Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment</li>\n<li>Excellent collaborator</li>\n<li>Self-motivated with a desire to learn and be challenged<br><br></li>\n</ul>",
