We believe in providing our new associates with intensive hands on training and long-term career growth opportunities from within.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h2>Medical Assistant Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, medication reconciliation, and reason for visit</li>\n <li>Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during dermatology visits and procedures</li>\n <li>Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (<strong>EMA / ModMed</strong>)</li>\n <li>Assist with in-office dermatology procedures including <strong>biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, injections, wound care, and specimen collection</strong></li>\n <li>Prepare exam rooms, trays, instruments, and supplies for clinic and procedures</li>\n <li>Label, process, and route pathology specimens appropriately</li>\n <li>Clean and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control standards</li>\n <li>Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, wound care instructions, and follow-up care</li>\n <li>Support efficient clinic flow by keeping providers on schedule and assisting with patient throughput</li>\n <li>Complete patient callbacks, prescription tasks, prior authorizations, and chart preparation as needed</li>\n <li>Cross-support front office operations when needed</li>\n <li>Travel occasionally between clinic locations as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED required</li>\n <li>Completion of a Medical Assistant program, Certified Nursing Assistant program, or equivalent clinical patient care experience preferred</li>\n <li>Current CPR certification preferred</li>\n <li>1+ year of recent experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, CNA, Patient Care Technician, or similar clinical role preferred</li>\n <li>Previous dermatology experience preferred, but not required</li>\n <li>Comfortable assisting with hands-on medical procedures</li>\n <li>Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment</li>\n <li>Electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred; <strong>ModMed / EMA experience is a plus</strong></li>\n <li>Reliable transportation required due to occasional travel between locations</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Licensure/Certifications/Education</h2>\n<h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the day</li>\n <li>Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and movement between patient rooms</li>\n <li>Ability to use hands and fingers for clinical procedures and patient care tasks</li>\n <li>Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds</li>\n <li>Exposure to sharps, chemicals, and infectious materials in a medical setting</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits (30+ Hours Per Week)</h2>\n<p>Employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (<strong>effective the first of the month following start date</strong>)</li>\n <li>Short-term and long-term disability coverage</li>\n <li>Company-paid Basic Life and AD&D insurance</li>\n <li>Voluntary benefits including life insurance (employee, spouse, and child), Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity</li>\n <li>Paid time off and company-paid holidays</li>\n <li>Retirement savings plan</li>\n <li>Employee discounts on cosmetic services and products</li>\n</ul>",
