Our service for older people and people with disabilities works in partnership with clients and families, identifying strengths and goals and developing innovative ways of achieving these.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Role | Mō te tūranga:</span> </p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Disability Team Leader to provide leadership within our Disability Service. This role leads a dedicated Disability Team and plays a key role in supporting clients as they transition into and engage with our services.</p>\n<p>You will also support service growth, operational and quality excellence, and compliance with best practice standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p>Leadership &amp; People Management</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead, coach, and support a team of 10 staff; Disability Outcomes Coaches, Payrun Support and Administration staff</li>\n<li>Facilitate team meetings, regular 1:1s, supervision, and annual performance reviews</li>\n<li>Identify and address practice and performance issues in a supportive and timely manner</li>\n<li>Contribute to development and continuous improvement initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Service Delivery &amp; Quality Oversight</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead disability service delivery</li>\n<li>Monitor and achieve KPIs to ensure high-quality outcomes and client experience</li>\n<li>Manage disability referrals and oversee Individualised Funding (IF) client budgets and payroll checks</li>\n<li>Support audits, manage complaints, and ensure compliance with contractual and best practice standards</li>\n<li>Actively embed Enabling Good Lives principles into everyday practice</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Stakeholder Engagement</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with MSD Disability Support Services, NASC Kaikaranga, and other sector partners</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Bi-Cultural Commitment</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrate understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to honouring tangata whenua within service delivery</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills &amp; Experience | Pukenga &amp; wheako:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 3 years’ experience in the Health or Disability sector</li>\n<li>Minimum 2 years’ people management experience</li>\n<li>A relevant Level 4 qualification (or higher)</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Enabling Good Lives, the NZ Disability Strategy, and UNCRPD</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and relationship management skills</li>\n<li>Strong organisational skills and attention to detail</li>\n<li>A current full, clean driver’s licence</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Culture | Ahurea</span></p>\n<p>People choose to align their career with Lifewise because of our dedication to working with and for vulnerable people in our community to create a better livelihood, and a commitment to their professional development in a respectful, collaborative, and learning environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Closing Date | Rā katinga: 27th April 2026</span></p>\n<p> </p>",
