    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>The Opportunity — Build the Future with Us</strong></p><p>As an <strong>Intermediate to Senior Civil Engineer (Municipal &amp; Land Development)</strong>, you’ll play a key role in shaping resilient, sustainable communities across <strong>Kamloops and the Southern Interior of British Columbia</strong>.</p><p>From planning and designing critical municipal infrastructure to supporting growing communities, this role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise, leadership, and local insight to projects that truly matter — today and for generations to come.</p><hr><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Design and deliver civil engineering solutions for municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure projects.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead preliminary and detailed design of linear infrastructure including watermains, sanitary and storm sewers, pump stations, and associated civil works.&nbsp;</li><li>Manage projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, schedule, budget, and risk&nbsp;objectives&nbsp;are achieved.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide construction services including field reviews, progress reporting, and contract administration.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare technical reports, engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents that clearly communicate design intent.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated,&nbsp;client‑focused&nbsp;solutions.&nbsp;</li><li>Build and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;strong relationships with municipal clients and project partners throughout the Southern Interior.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct field reviews at critical milestones&nbsp;</li></ul><hr><p><strong>The Skills That Set You Apart</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.</li><li><strong>7+ years</strong> of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure and/or land development projects.</li><li>Registered <strong>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia</strong>, or eligible for registration.</li><li>Proven experience delivering civil design projects through construction, including contract administration.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of municipal servicing standards and infrastructure systems.</li><li>Proficiency with civil design software such as <strong>Civil 3D</strong> or equivalent.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to project leadership and client relationships.</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Why Choose WSP?</strong></p><p>&nbsp;We exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
