Will participate in ongoing education through workshops, in-service programs, and updates from AFMC. &nbsp;<br>Medical Billing and ICD-9 and CPT coding experience preferred.<br>● &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must be computer literate.<br>● &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent customer service/interpersonal communication skills.<br>● &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Detail oriented.<br><br>3. &nbsp; &nbsp;Job Knowledge: &nbsp; &nbsp;Must be familiar with medical terminology, able to follow basic coding guidelines with the ability to identify proper diagnostic and procedural phrases utilized by healthcare provider. Should have knowledge of anatomy and physiology of human body in order to obtain proper ICD-9 and CPT codes. &nbsp;Abides by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by the American Health Information Management Association. &nbsp;Must be able to communicate verbally and in written format with the Medical Staff, review organizations, managers and others as required. &nbsp;<br><br>4. &nbsp; &nbsp;Safety Sensitive: &nbsp; NO<br>In the interest of protecting the health and safety of all patients, associates, and guests, Unity Health has classified some positions as &ldquo;safety sensitive.&rdquo; &nbsp;A &ldquo;safety sensitive&rdquo; position is any job position in which impaired performance could result in harm to the health and/or safety of self or others.
