Description
SHINE Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Designer who will use SolidWorks to create mechanical systems for safe and reliable operation, manufacturability, and serviceability of SHINE neutron generators, ion implanters, and radiopharmaceutical production equipment. This includes 3D models for assemblies, custom parts, and catalog items, as well as dimensioned drawings for purchase and fabrication. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for contributing to mechanical designs on assigned projects, including conceptualizing, design development, modeling, verification, BOM management, drafting, and supporting designs through production.
The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with mechanical engineers on machine designs including: 3D CAD models of designs Create & release detailed drawings Develop Bills of Materials for systems and complex assemblies Lead designs through the engineering change process Collaborate with vendors to ensure manufacturability of design Assist with assembly of prototype units. Collaborate with test engineers to verify designs. Collaborate with the Engineering Manager & Design Team to develop & update department Standard Operating Procedures.
