    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><b><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></b></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Plano and cylinder mirrors and lens components are machined to the size requirements of drawings, engineering specifications and/or II-VI standard specifications on a diamond flycut machine</li>\n <li>All parts must be handled in proper manner as to prevent damage to the parts</li>\n <li>Measurement of critical dimensions of the part prior to processing to determine if the part will be within the blank specifications</li>\n <li>Responsible for controlling and verifying part thickness and figure. Parts are routinely measured to guarantee that all parts produced meet specification</li>\n <li>Understanding and utilizing the correct machine setup</li>\n <li>Tool set-up for various materials is performed according to established procedures. Flywheel is accurately balanced and head tilt adjustments made</li>\n <li>Process notes are maintained to record key manufacturing parameters and issues. Work instructions are followed. Work order report sheets are utilized to note process variation. First time yield is accurately documented</li>\n <li>The operator must be able to work independently to solve minor problems on a diamond flycutter; where appropriate the nature and solution to the problem should be reported to the supervisor or shift lead</li>\n <li>Production activities are wanded accurately. Quality documentation is completed as required and the machine maintenance and incident reports are completed when necessary</li>\n <li>Develop a good understanding for the QA procedures associated with testing of flycut diamond turned components.</li>\n <li>Opportunities to multitask and run multiple machines to ensure maximum production output without making errors</li>\n <li>Errors and accidents are reported immediately to the shift lead, maintenance supervisor, or engineers. Root cause analysis and corrective actions are fully supported</li>\n <li>Operators are required to verify all setups to ensure the machine will not crash</li>\n <li>All Coherent and departmental safety practices and procedures are followed at all times</li>\n <li>All areas are maintained in an organized manner</li>\n <li>Ensure equipment is maintained based on preventative schedules</li>\n <li>Maintenance requirements and machine or utility anomalies are reported promptly to the supervisor</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school graduate or GED</li>\n <li>0-2 years’ manufacturing experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b><u>Skills</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Well-developed communication and organizational skills</li>\n <li>Strong mechanical aptitude</li>\n <li>Ability to handle diverse detailed tasks</li>\n <li>Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to daily work requirements</li>\n <li>Ability to read drawings and engineering notes</li>\n <li>Must be both team-oriented and self-motivated</li>\n <li>Competent math skills</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and quality</li>\n <li><b>Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires a U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien, or protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).</b></li>\n</ul>\n<p><b><u>Working Conditions</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Clean room environment within manufacturing plant</li>\n <li>Use of high-precision machines and metrology equipment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b><u>Physical Requirements</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Long periods of standing</li>\n <li>Consistent attention to several pieces of equipment and ability to effectively multitask on a multitude of tasks</li>\n <li>High degree of concentration</li>\n <li>Working with chemicals, cleaning solvents, toxic and hazardous materials</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b><u>Safety Requirements</u></b></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
