Responsibilities We are seeking a Safety Engineer (all genders) to join our team. In this role you play a key role in our projects, ensuring that safety requirements are consistently met from concept through implementation: You develop and implement safety protocols that meet industry standards and regulations You conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and define preventive measures You analyze and document system requirements to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate safety requirements into system designs You train team members on safety practices and protocols You investigate incidents and near misses, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions You prepare detailed reports on safety assessments, incidents, and compliance status Requirements Degree in engineering (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering) Experience in Safety Assessment and aviation Experience with requirements management processes Understanding of ARP 4754 (System Development Process) Basic knowledge of the safety process according to SAE 4761 Hands-on experience with at least one Fault Tree Analysis tool (e.g., CAFTA, Isograph Reliability Workbench, Ansys Medini) Knowledge of FMEA methodology Great language skills in German and English  Background in Systems and/or Safety Engineering Industry experience in aviation and hydrogen technologies Knowledge of cryogenic components and liquid hydrogen Familiarity with development standards: DO-160, DO-254, DO-178C What we're looking for We're looking for people who take initiative, own their work, and develop solutions together.
