Description
Position Summary
The Crisis Service Program is part of the Mobile Crisis and Co-Responder programs contracted through Sheboygan County Health and Human Services (HHS) and partners with law enforcement, first responders, and community providers to deliver trauma-sensitive, person-centered crisis intervention, de-escalation, assessment, support planning, and connection to community resources for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises.
These positions provide outreach, follow-up support, crisis stabilization, and coordination of care for children, adolescents, adults, and families in community-based settings.
Work Locations and Openings Elevate Office 1426 North 5 th Street Crisis Coordinator - FT (1 opening) Mobile Crisis - PT 8PM-6AM 24 hours per week (1 opening) Sheboygan Police Department 1315 North 23rd Street Co-Responder - FT 6PM-2AM (1 opening) Sheboygan Falls Police Department 375 Buffalo Street Co-Responder - PT 12PM-8PM 24-30 hours per week (2 openings) Schedule Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available Flexible and variable shifts, including evenings and (every other weekend-required) Pay Range
$23.00 – $28.00 per hour

Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, assessment, support planning, and referrals to resources. Collaborate with law enforcement, dispatch, hospitals, and community agencies. Provide follow-up support and coordination of care. Utilize trauma-sensitive, person-centered, and zero-suicide approaches. Develop safety and crisis plans as needed. Initiate Chapter 51 and Chapter 55 actions when appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Participate in outreach, briefings, and collaborative response efforts. Maintain required training and compliance standards. Provide crisis response, assessment, intervention, and stabilization services within Sheboygan County and, when clinically appropriate or necessary, outside county lines to support hospitalization, placement, or continuity of care needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health or related field required. Mental Health Tech experience may be considered a pathway/apprenticeship opportunity for candidates seeking growth into Mobile Crisis and Co-Responder roles. Knowledge of behavioral health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Experience or training in crisis intervention preferred. Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws related to crisis services. Additional Requirements
