Description
Location: Home Office in Boise Idaho
Reports To: Mining Segment Director
Industry: Mining and Aggregates
A Territory Manager oversees sales operations and customer relationships within a designated geographical region. The Territory Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, managing accounts, and increasing revenue by developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong sales experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently to meet and exceed sales goals.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve territory goals and increase market share. Identify key opportunities within the region and create tailored approaches to maximize sales growth. Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns. New Business Development: Identify, prospect, and convert new customers within the territory. Actively seek out and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights. Sales Presentations & Negotiations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients. Effectively negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals while maximizing profitability. Market Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth and adjust strategies accordingly. Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to management. Track sales performance against goals and adjust strategies to ensure targets are met. Customer Support & Problem Resolution: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure smooth resolution of problems to maintain positive client relationships. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing, customer service, and product management, to ensure alignment in meeting customer needs and company objectives. Product Knowledge & Training: Stay up-to-date on the latest product offerings, industry trends, and competitor products. Provide feedback to product teams regarding customer needs and market demands. Budget Management: Manage territory-related expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources while maximizing profitability. Handle problems and discrepancies. Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
