Instruction is delivered primarily in Spanish while supporting joyful bilingual learning through Montessori methods, culturally responsive teaching, and language-rich interactions.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is passionate about bilingual education, Montessori philosophy, equity, and creating inclusive classroom communities that honor students’ identities, cultures, and languages.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Bilingual Montessori Instruction &amp; Student Learning</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver Montessori instruction primarily in Spanish across curriculum areas</li>\n<li>Support language acquisition and biliteracy development through authentic immersion practices</li>\n<li>Present individual and small-group lessons using Montessori methodology</li>\n<li>Foster oral language development, vocabulary acquisition, communication skills, and emergent literacy</li>\n<li>Differentiate instruction to support all learners, including multilingual learners and students with special needs</li>\n<li>Integrate culturally responsive materials, literature, music, traditions, and experiences into classroom instruction</li>\n<li>Conduct ongoing student observations, assessments, and progress monitoring in accordance with school and OSSE requirements</li>\n<li>Foster independence, concentration, self-discipline, and Montessori principles of Grace and Courtesy</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Classroom Leadership &amp; Environment</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and maintain a safe, organized, language-rich bilingual Montessori classroom environment</li>\n<li>Develop Montessori materials, lessons, and learning experiences responsive to students’ developmental needs and interests</li>\n<li>Support students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth through individualized guidance</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, observations, assessments, and progress reports</li>\n<li>Ensure classroom, playground, and shared spaces meet health and safety expectations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Family &amp; Community Engagement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build positive and respectful relationships with multilingual families</li>\n<li>Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom experiences</li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with English-language teachers, specialists, and administrators</li>\n<li>Participate in bilingual school events, family workshops, Open House, Saturday Academy, Field Day, and other community activities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Professional Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in staff meetings, professional development, instructional coaching, and Montessori reflective practice</li>\n<li>Support and promote SSMA’s mission, vision, and educational philosophy</li>\n<li>Engage in ongoing professional growth through conferences, workshops, and training opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Spanish, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred</li>\n<li>AMS, AMI, or MACTE-accredited <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Montessori Primary Certification </span>(Ages 3–6), or current enrollment in a MACTE-approved Montessori teacher education program</li>\n<li>Native or fluent Spanish proficiency required</li>\n<li>Experience teaching in bilingual, immersion, dual-language, or Montessori settings preferred</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of early childhood language development, emergent literacy, and foundational mathematics instruction</li>\n<li>Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills</li>\n<li>Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse students, families, and staff</li>\n<li>Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive educational practices</li>\n<li>Eligibility to work in the United States</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prior experience in public charter, urban, or diverse school settings</li>\n<li>Praxis II certification and passing scores preferred</li>\n<li>Additional credentials in Special Education, ESOL, Music, Art, or related areas</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Competencies</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism</li>\n<li>Passion for supporting independent, confident, and intellectually curious children</li>\n<li>Ability to honor and support diverse learning styles, cultures, and languages</li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English</li>\n<li>Excellent listening, collaboration, and relationship-building skills</li>\n<li>Flexibility, initiative, and reflective practice mindset</li>\n<li>Sense of humor and genuine love of children</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation &amp;
