Job Summary The position will serve as district administrator for the textbook inventory system, receiving, distributing, and tracking materials into and out of the distribution center. Will collaborate with stakeholders to respond to requests and reconcile inventory discrepancies, and monitor district-wide compliance of textbook policies and procedures What you will do Receive, distribute, and track materials into and out of the distribution center, including inspecting for quantity counts and damage. Tag assets, label and package materials, and process returns. Verify new merchandise against purchase orders and invoices, and transfer merchandise according to requisitions. Serve as district administrator for the textbook inventory system, including entering transactions, reviewing orders, generating reports, and maintaining data integrity. Schedule, participate in, and perform large and small-scale physical inventories. Assist in conducting and coordinating periodic inventory disposal, including coordinating the annual textbook auction. Collaborate with stakeholders, including faculty, administrators, and staff, via e-mails, calls, and in-person, to respond to requests for services and updates, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and reconcile inventory discrepancies. Operate and maintain a variety of material-handling equipment, including trucks, delivery vehicles, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and carts. Operate a variety of office equipment, including copiers, computers, printers, calculators, fax machines, and cell phones. Collaborate with Curriculum & Instruction Department, including content area directors, on annual textbook adoptions. Monitor district-wide compliance of textbook policies and procedures as per Tennessee Department of Education guidelines. Provide training and training documentation to school and departmental contacts for textbook inventory processes and the textbook inventory system. Serve as the back-up timekeeper to the Distribution Center Office Manager for the Central Services Department. Education Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Required Experience Qualifications Five years applicable experience required including working knowledge of basic warehouse functions and experience working within a team environment Required Skills and Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office software -- Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
