    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Reporting directly to the Clinical Practice Leader (CPL) at the Touro College of Dental Medicine’s clinic in Albuquerque New Mexico, with a dotted line to the Director of Clinical Education, and the Executive Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs, clinical faculty are responsible for direct patient care and mentoring/teaching students.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>**Touro College of Dental Medicine (Albuquerque, New Mexico Clinic) is currently hiring for 6 General Clinical Faculty (P/T & F/T schedule options). </strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Initiate and guide student doctor/patient interaction and assist in transition to clinical practice.</li>\n<li>In the case of the community practices, aid in the continual review of student rosters</li>\n<li>In the case of clinical practices, arrive prior to clinical start, provide guidance and direction in care of patients by monitoring student performance, treatment planning, and progress.</li>\n<li>Model and advise students on professionalism and patient management techniques.</li>\n<li>Assist in solving patient related problems.</li>\n<li>Assist the CPL in the review within their clinical practice, each student’s performance related to:\n <ul>\n  <li>Quality and quantity of clinical care.</li>\n  <li>Each student’s practice and patient resources.</li>\n  <li>Each student’s individual roster and group progress.</li>\n  <li>Student’s ability to establish and reach patient treatment goals.</li>\n  <li>Determination of individual student needs and related time utilization.</li>\n </ul></li>\n<li>Assuring accuracy of student clinical notes, approving student procedural code, and evaluating/assessing student in the areas of Preparedness, Professionalism, Promptness.</li>\n<li>Discharging and transferring clinical responsibilities if needed</li>\n<li>Monitoring unapproved notes and treatments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and signed by each CPL.</li>\n<li>Report instances of misconduct to the Clinical Practice Leader on site..</li>\n<li>Maintaining calibration as determined by the Director of Clinical Education as well as:\n <ul>\n  <li>Ensuring the clinical protocols are being followed in their clinical areas.</li>\n  <li>Infection Control Compliance.</li>\n </ul></li>\n<li>Complete Reviews of student activity upon request.</li>\n<li>Aid in supervision of Clinical Formative and Summative Examination Process.</li>\n<li>Attend periodic meetings with their specific CPL and attend clinical faculty meetings, including Faculty Forum.</li>\n<li>Membership, if appointed, on relevant Clinical Committees.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>D.D.S./DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Dental License Registration; must be eligible for licensure in the state of New Mexico.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certificate of training from an ADA-accredited AEGD or GPR program, and/or other advanced degrees.</li>\n <li>DEA number.</li>\n <li>Previous teaching experience.</li>\n <li>A track record of scholarly activity and outstanding patient care, as well as demonstration of or likely commitment to diversity-related teaching/research/service.</li>\n <li>Engagement and familiarity in curriculum development and digital dentistry technology and experience in faculty calibration.</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain and uphold an educational/clinical environment that promotes collegiality and collaboration.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated professionalism and high ethical standards in a health science educational setting is essential.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>",
