    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">We are looking for a full-time, experienced and self-motivated <strong><u>Sr. Product Manager, Automotive&nbsp;</u></strong> to join our Marketing Team to lead the design, implementation and monitoring of business programs and initiatives to support business segment growth.</p><p><br></p><p>Hampton Products is a leading North American provider of both residential and commercial security and door hardware, builder&rsquo;s hardware, cargo management, and portable security products. For more information, please visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.hamptonproducts.com/\" target=\"_blank\">https://www.hamptonproducts.com/</a>.<br><em>&nbsp;</em></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Acts as the subject matter expert on towing and trailer categories such as, but not limited to structural hardware, coupling and connection components, electrical, braking, and towing safety and performance.</li><li>Supports and executes segment growth strategies in collaboration with Finance, Sales, Global Supply, R&amp;D, and all other functional areas.</li><li>Responsible for leading brand, channel and product marketing initiatives in support of the overall segment strategic plan.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts research and analysis on gaps in the towing and trailer market for safety, ease of use, and connectivity.</li><li>Maintains working knowledge on material finishes and compositions, and how they withstand everyday and extreme usage or conditions.</li><li>Leads detailed project execution (project management) for new product development and introduction working collaboratively with engineering, sales and supply chain associates</li><li>Ensures achievement of key milestones in project execution including product launch date, margin, and sales goals</li><li>Performs consumer research to gain insights into key value proposition drivers for towing and trailer solutions, while researching opportunities for new and innovative solutions.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts field research observing customer usage and identifying product failures and safety risks.&nbsp;</li><li>Understand all standards and compliance aligned with the category.</li><li>Executes projects and key initiatives within targeted budget for sales, margin, direct costs for the assigned segment/line of business.</li><li>Analyzes and manages revenue, cost, and margin for segment/line of business.</li><li>Manages product innovation and project prioritization efforts.</li><li>Ensures that marketing and promotional strategies align with public relations.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>The successful candidate will have the following</strong>:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Four-year college or university program certificate in marketing, business, or related discipline; and no less than 10 years of progressive management experience in marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>At least 10 years of experience in the consumer goods industry with a mechanical aptitude and literacy in the towing and trailer market.</li><li>Master&rsquo;s degree in business or marketing is preferred.</li><li>Have a mechanical aptitude and literacy in the towing and trailer market.</li><li>Solid project management experience related to new product introduction and a NPI milestone process.</li><li>Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to organize and lead cross functional teams to execute initiatives for new products, programs, trade, and promotional events.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br>&nbsp;<strong><em>Don&rsquo;t let this job get away.&nbsp;</em></strong><strong><em>Many feel that Hampton Products is a special place to work, and our core values are the primary reasons for that feeling.
