Utilize knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, and pipefitting.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location: This role is on-site with a client in the heart of Atlanta, GA. There will be some travel as well in the metro Atlanta area. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities May Include:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Advanced troubleshooting and repair:</strong></p>\n<p>Diagnosing complex HVAC system malfunctions, identifying root causes, and implementing repairs on critical cooling equipment like chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and precision cooling systems within data centers. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preventative maintenance:</strong></p>\n<p>Performing comprehensive scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing components as needed, while adhering to strict data center maintenance protocols. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>System optimization:</strong></p>\n<p>Analyzing data center cooling loads, identifying efficiency improvements, and implementing changes to optimize system performance, potentially including adjustments to control systems or equipment upgrades. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Technical leadership:</strong></p>\n<p>Acting as a subject matter expert for HVAC systems within the data center, providing guidance and training to other technicians on complex issues. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Documentation and reporting:</strong></p>\n<p>Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance data, and any issues encountered, including creating reports for management. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills and Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Extensive HVAC knowledge:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as an HVAC technician.</li>\n <li>Deep understanding of commercial HVAC principles, including refrigeration cycles and air flow dynamics.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Specific Expertise:</strong></p>\n<p>Thorough knowledge of data center cooling requirements, critical infrastructure, and potential environmental hazards. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Advanced troubleshooting skills:</strong></p>\n<p>The ability to diagnose complex system malfunctions and identify root causes with minimal downtime. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Control system proficiency:</strong></p>\n<p>Expertise in programming and troubleshooting building automation systems (BAS) commonly used in data centers. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Strong mechanical aptitude:</strong></p>\n<p>Capability to perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on a wide range of HVAC equipment. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Safety awareness:</strong></p>\n<p>Commitment to following strict safety protocols within a data center environment. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p>\n<p>Must be able to climb ladders, lift and carry 50 or more pounds, distinguish colors for electrical work and tolerate confined spaces.
