Description
Job Summary:
The Business Development Director, Cybersecurity leads business development strategy and execution for cybersecurity services by driving market penetration, identifying target clients, and advancing qualified opportunities. This role collaborates with Practice Leaders, industry leaders, principals, and client service professionals to develop and implement cybersecurity-focused growth plans aligned with Firm strategy. The position builds relationships with key decision-makers, supports pursuit strategy, strengthens pipeline visibility, and promotes coordinated go-to-market efforts across cybersecurity offerings. This role also contributes market insight, sales enablement, and business development best practices to support revenue growth, brand positioning, and expansion of cybersecurity services.
Job Duties:
• Develops and executes cybersecurity business development plans in conjunction with Practice Leaders, industry leaders, principals, and assigned direct supervisor
• Works with Practice Leaders and Industry Leaders to segment target markets, target accounts, and buyer profiles for cybersecurity services in alignment with business line and industry strategy
• Identifies priority markets, cybersecurity growth opportunities, and business development activities needed to drive qualified pipeline
• Develops cybersecurity business development plans aligned with Firm strategy, market demand, and service line priorities
• Collaborates with principals on all cybersecurity business development plans, pursuits, and strategic growth initiatives
• Facilitates quarterly meetings with Practice Leaders to design, implement, and report on cybersecurity business development plans
• Generates opportunities with targeted prospects through approved lead generation activities, including outbound calling campaigns, email campaigns, webinars, seminars, business community outreach, networking, sponsorships, referral development, and other demand generation programs
• Monitors and reports on the results of cybersecurity lead generation programs
• Leverages national marketing and sales programs and follow approved processes, messaging standards, proposal templates, pipeline reporting requirements, and campaign guidelines
• Qualifies cybersecurity opportunities and build relationships with key executives and stakeholders, including Chief Information Security Officers, Chief Information Officers, Chief Risk Officers, compliance leaders, technology leaders, and procurement leaders
• Participates in sales and proposal processes, including developing and managing pursuit strategy, planning for and attending pursuit meetings, and providing proposal and presentation strategy and support
• Coordinates with Alliance Firms, referral channels, and International firms, as appropriate, on cybersecurity opportunities
• Facilitates monthly sales pipeline meetings with Practice Leaders and principals who have active cybersecurity sales opportunities
• Develops and executes cybersecurity go-to-market strategies and collaborates with client service professionals to support sales success
• Contributes cybersecurity business development thought leadership, tools, competitive intelligence, and resources to the broader national Business Development Services community
• Facilitates annual principal business development meetings related to cybersecurity growth strategy and sales priorities
• Promotes use of CRM as an integral part of the business development process by demonstrating accurate and timely pipeline, activity, and opportunity management
• Implements and maintains industry group programs and market initiatives that support cybersecurity services growth
• Participates in Premier account management programs as defined by the business development plan
• Completes all reporting requirements on new sales, pipeline activity, sales call statistics, campaign results, and CRM maintenance
• Discusses staffing recommendations, including new hires and terminations, with direct supervisor, Practice Leaders, and National Business Development Services
• Achieves annual revenue goals for cybersecurity services
• Other duties as required.

• Supervises business development support professionals, where applicable, in collaboration with direct supervisor and Practice Leaders to perform growth support activities outlined in the cybersecurity business development plan

• Conducts annual performance reviews for business development support professionals with input from direct supervisor, Practice Leaders, and National Business Development Services, if applicable

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree, required
• Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Finance, preferred
Experience
• Eight (8) or more years of business development, sales, account management, or market development experience, required
• Three (3) or more years of experience supporting or selling cybersecurity services, required
• Experience developing and executing strategic go-to-market plans, required
• Experience managing sales pipeline, lead generation activity, and CRM reporting, required
• Experience working with executive-level stakeholders in technology, risk, compliance, or security functions, preferred
• Experience within accounting, consulting, advisory, or professional services environment, preferred
• Experience leading or supervising business development support staff, preferred
License/Certification:

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $150,000 - $180,000
Maryland Range: $150,000 - $180,000

"ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong><u>Job Summary:</u></strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">The Business Development Director, Cybersecurity leads business development strategy and execution for cybersecurity services by driving market penetration, identifying target clients, and advancing qualified opportunities. This role collaborates with Practice Leaders, industry leaders, principals, and client service professionals to develop and implement cybersecurity-focused growth plans aligned with Firm strategy. The position builds relationships with key decision-makers, supports pursuit strategy, strengthens pipeline visibility, and promotes coordinated go-to-market efforts across cybersecurity offerings. This role also contributes market insight, sales enablement, and business development best practices to support revenue growth, brand positioning, and expansion of cybersecurity services.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong><u>Job Duties:</u></strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Develops and executes cybersecurity business development plans in conjunction with Practice Leaders, industry leaders, principals, and assigned direct supervisor</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Works with Practice Leaders and Industry Leaders to segment target markets, target accounts, and buyer profiles for cybersecurity services in alignment with business line and industry strategy</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Identifies priority markets, cybersecurity growth opportunities, and business development activities needed to drive qualified pipeline</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Develops cybersecurity business development plans aligned with Firm strategy, market demand, and service line priorities</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Collaborates with principals on all cybersecurity business development plans, pursuits, and strategic growth initiatives</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Facilitates quarterly meetings with Practice Leaders to design, implement, and report on cybersecurity business development plans</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Generates opportunities with targeted prospects through approved lead generation activities, including outbound calling campaigns, email campaigns, webinars, seminars, business community outreach, networking, sponsorships, referral development, and other demand generation programs</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Monitors and reports on the results of cybersecurity lead generation programs </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Leverages national marketing and sales programs and follow approved processes, messaging standards, proposal templates, pipeline reporting requirements, and campaign guidelines</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Qualifies cybersecurity opportunities and build relationships with key executives and stakeholders, including Chief Information Security Officers, Chief Information Officers, Chief Risk Officers, compliance leaders, technology leaders, and procurement leaders</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Participates in sales and proposal processes, including developing and managing pursuit strategy, planning for and attending pursuit meetings, and providing proposal and presentation strategy and support</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Coordinates with Alliance Firms, referral channels, and International firms, as appropriate, on cybersecurity opportunities</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Facilitates monthly sales pipeline meetings with Practice Leaders and principals who have active cybersecurity sales opportunities</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Develops and executes cybersecurity go-to-market strategies and collaborates with client service professionals to support sales success</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Contributes cybersecurity business development thought leadership, tools, competitive intelligence, and resources to the broader national Business Development Services community</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Facilitates annual principal business development meetings related to cybersecurity growth strategy and sales priorities</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Promotes use of CRM as an integral part of the business development process by demonstrating accurate and timely pipeline, activity, and opportunity management</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Implements and maintains industry group programs and market initiatives that support cybersecurity services growth</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">• Participates in Premier account management programs as defined by the
