As a member of our network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the local community in a variety of settings, including educational, medical, social services, and more. <br><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br> </p><ul><li>Travel to local client sites, within the Sussex County, Delaware area</li><li>Provide Spanish-English interpreting for school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, medical appointments, and more</li><li>Provide superior customer service</li><li>Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality</li><li>Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices</li></ul><br><strong>Qualifications/Experience</strong><br> <ul><li>Full fluency in both English and Spanish</li><li>Daytime availability (between the hours of 9AM - 5PM)</li><li>Availability to support our interpreting clients 5-10 hours a week</li><li>Access to reliable transportation</li><li>1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred, but not required</li><li>Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.), but not required</li><li>Candidates must be willing to get a background check including Federal, State, and Child Abuse Registry</li><li>Must have reliable phone service for contact</li><li>Must be comfortable with using a computer or smart phone for job input</li></ul><br><br>By submitting my application, I certify that the information I have provided in this application is true and complete. I understand that any misrepresentation, falsification, or omission of facts may be grounds for disqualification from further consideration for employment or, if hired, for dismissal at any time.
