As part of Covenant Health, the region’s largest employer, Parkwest Medical Center, marries cutting-edge technology with compassionate, community-centered care, earning accolades for cardiology, stroke, surgical excellence, and patient safety. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To learn more about Parkwest Medical Center and our units, visit Covenant Health Parkwest Medical Center Opportunities.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care.</li>\n <li> Assesses learning needs of patient and family.</li>\n <li> Develops and initiates plan of care, involving patient and family.</li>\n <li> Recommends interventions.</li>\n <li> Evaluates plan of care.</li>\n <li> Resolves problems regarding moderately complex issues without oversight or supervision.</li>\n <li> Demonstrates willingness to precept employees/students as directed. Reviews clinical performance of preceptee with unit leader or clinical instructor.</li>\n <li> Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.</li>\n <li> Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.</li>\n <li> Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.</li>\n <li> Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Education:            </strong></p>\n<p>None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Experience:         </strong></p>\n<p> Must possess at least one (1) year of professional nursing experience.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Licensure Requirement:</strong>       </p>\n<p>Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN licensure. CPR required.</p>",
