This capability allows us to customize both an insurance company option and a purely administrative option for our customers.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>This position will be responsible for the investigation, evaluation, and adjustment of claims for a dedicated program handling municipal property claims in the State of Wisconsin. The position will help with the underwriting of new potential insureds on an ad hoc basis which may require the use of a drone.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interview insureds, witnesses, and others as appropriate.</li>\n <li>Inspect property damage.</li>\n <li>Review factual information to prepare damage estimates.</li>\n <li>Investigate assigned losses to determine coverage.</li>\n <li>Evaluate loss exposure for various property losses.</li>\n <li>Evaluate and negotiate settlements based upon coverage document language.</li>\n <li>Determine scope of loss and cost of repairs.</li>\n <li>Make recommendations regarding resolution of claims including litigation.</li>\n <li>Work with reinsurance program carriers on large losses.</li>\n <li>Prepare reports for Client Company.</li>\n <li>Help with inspection of properties of new potential insureds.</li>\n <li>Enter reports/file activity into electronic claim processing system.</li>\n <li>Pursue subrogation as warranted.</li>\n <li>Attend company and customer events.</li>\n <li>Accountable for results, customer service, and achieving departmental and unit objectives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>May perform other functions as assigned</em></strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>2 – 4 years of property claims experience in the field or desk in a related area.</li>\n <li>Must have a working knowledge of a variety of subjects including, but not limited to, insurance related laws/regulations, general construction, and contractor’s equipment repairs.</li>\n <li>Must have a valid drone remote pilot certificate or be willing to get certified.</li>\n <li>Understanding of basis underwriting principles of commercial property.</li>\n <li>Must possess a high degree of literacy.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and be self-directed.</li>\n <li>Excellent human relations and customer service skills.</li>\n <li>Strong PC skills and a working knowledge of Windows environment.</li>\n <li>Must be proficient in analytical tasks.</li>\n <li>Must maintain a valid driver’s license and carry vehicle insurance coverage.</li>\n <li>Must maintain a current licensing as required by state</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Company Details</h2>The Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
