    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><h2 data-pasted=\"true\">Position Overview</h2><p>Passero Associates is seeking a Civil Project Engineer &nbsp;to join our Newburgh, NY office. This position will support municipal, private, K-12, and site development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for civil site design, grading, stormwater management, and preparation of construction documents suitable for public bidding.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Develop civil engineering design documents from concept through final design.</li><li>Lead grading design strategy including drainage pattern development and constructability considerations.</li><li>Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (SCS/NRCS, time of concentration, pre/post analysis).</li><li>Design detention/retention systems and stormwater conveyance infrastructure.</li><li>Evaluate utility conflicts and coordinate with water/sewer authorities.</li><li>Develop complete construction plan sets suitable for public/municipal bidding.</li><li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.</li><li>Support permitting applications and agency coordination efforts.</li><li>Provide construction administration support as needed.</li><li>Provide technical oversight of CAD production and junior staff.</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited).</li><li>Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required.</li><li>3&ndash;7 years of relevant civil/site design experience.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surface modeling, grading tools, pipe networks, and plan production workflows.</li><li>Demonstrated experience independently developing grading plans, performing stormwater calculations, and preparing supporting drainage reports.</li><li>Experience preparing construction plan sets for public bid environments.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple design tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting project schedules.</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York or ability to obtain within 12 months.</li><li>Experience leading design efforts on municipal, Privat, or publicly funded infrastructure projects.</li><li>Experience with drainage modeling software (e.g., HydroCAD, Hydraflow, ICPR, or similar).</li><li>Experience working in multidisciplinary A/E project environments.</li></ul><h2>Growth &amp; Opportunity</h2><p>This role offers advancement toward Project Manager and Client Manager responsibilities.
