We are seeking dynamic professionals who embody our core values of Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence to join our growing Crew in support of our customers across the federal, state, and commercial markets.</p><p>We are seeking a Junior Cyber Security Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.</p><p><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></p><ul><li>Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills, be a team player, possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment.</li><li>Perform regular monitoring of systems/applications for cyber security compliance to include STIG/patching</li><li>Review and analyze appropriate system logs for performance and behavior anomalies, determine negative trends, and develop recommended corrective actions</li><li>Understand security vulnerabilities in various SW and HW platforms and be able to recommend mitigations</li><li>Perform vulnerability scans and assist in security audits</li><li>Assist with security tools and provide technical help to Cyber Teams</li><li>Maintain security documentation and support cyber security policy implementation and compliance</li><li>Basic understanding of networking, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and various security tools</li><li>Must possess strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills</li><li>Apply basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures to supervisors</li><li>Escalate complex problems to senior level personnel</li><li>Perform other Cyber duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p><p><strong>Basic Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Must have 2, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience<ul><li>May be reduced with completion of advanced education</li></ul></li><li>Must have 6, or more, months of direct IT experience</li><li>Must have, or obtain within 3 months, a current DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification</li><li>Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Have strong skills using Microsoft Management technologies, to include Active Directory services (AD) and Windows Server Update Skills (WSUS)</li><li>Have experience with SCCM/SMS or related patching products in an enterprise environment</li><li>Have experience assessing, summarizing, and providing technical guidance for security directives and patches in support of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Program</li></ul><p><strong>Why LaunchTech?</strong></p><p>LaunchTech is built on a single standard: Excellence, Period.
