The Lead Pharmacist will work closely with the pharmacy team to optimize workflow, enhance efficiency, and ensure the accurate dispensing of medications.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Supervise daily operations within the pharmacy, including prescription processing, order fulfillment, and customer service.</li><li>Manage and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.</li><li>Implement and maintain compliance with all regulatory, legal, and professional standards.</li><li>Enhance patient safety and care by ensuring accurate dispensing and thorough patient counseling.</li><li>Optimize pharmacy workflows to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.</li><li>Resolve issues related to prescription errors, patient complaints, and staff performance swiftly and effectively.</li><li>Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain high standards of pharmacy practice.</li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li>Proven experience as a Pharmacy Supervisor or a similar managerial role in a pharmacy setting.</li><li>Strong leadership and organizational skills with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations and legal regulations.</li><li>Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Ohio, with a Pharm.D. or equivalent qualification.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with significant supervisory experience.</li></ul><h3><strong>Work Environment</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Location</strong>: On-site</li><li><strong>Schedule</strong>: Full-time</li><li>May require availability or flexibility for escalations.</li><li>Regular meetings with your teams, departments, or leadership to ensure alignment.</li></ul><h3><strong>Key Essential Functions</strong></h3><ul><li>Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours at a time while working.</li><li>Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally and 10–15 pounds frequently.</li><li>Must perform repetitive motions throughout an entire shift, including bending, reaching, lifting, handling medications, and scanning products.</li><li>Must be able to work onsite for all scheduled shifts in a fast-paced pharmacy operations environment.</li><li>Must be able to visually verify prescription information, medication labels, and computer screens for extended periods.</li><li>Must be able to communicate clearly with team members, providers, and patients in person and via phone or electronic systems.</li><li>Must be able to operate pharmacy technology, dispensing equipment, and computer systems for the duration of assigned shifts.</li><li>Must be able to move throughout the pharmacy workspace to supervise workflow, support staff, and ensure operational efficiency.</li></ul><h3><strong>Employment Classification</strong></h3><p><strong>Status:</strong> Full-time<br><strong>FLSA:</strong> Exempt</p><h3><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement</strong></h3><p>Gifthealth is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
