    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance of the plant and equipment.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Pay &amp; Benefits:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Pay (hourly position) -&nbsp;</strong>Depends on experience</li><li><strong>Benefits eligible</strong> - 1st day of employment</li><li><strong>401K eligible</strong> - 1st of the month following 60 days of employment</li><li><strong>Sign on Bonus</strong> - Up to $1500</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform electrical maintenance on all equipment</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment</li><li>Assist operators when necessary</li><li>Familiarity with NFPA 70 requirements</li><li>Assist in the maintenance of spare parts inventory</li><li>Assist in completion of special projects including equipment installation, machine and building modifications, and safety improvements</li><li>Install and maintain electrical and electronics systems of the plant and equipment</li><li>Layout and machine repair parts when necessary</li><li>Operate typical tools to machine parts to exacting tolerances</li><li>Diagnose machine malfunctions and make required repairs/adjustments to keep machine operating</li><li>Assemble, align units and machines</li><li>Make sketches of replacement parts</li><li>Maintain a safe and clean working environment</li><li>Available for call-in as necessary for equipment repair/building maintenance problems</li><li>Follow AIB guidelines</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong><u>Background/Experience:</u></strong></p><p>Minimum 3-years&rsquo; experience in electrical and mechanical machine maintenance</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience working with printing, extrusion and converting equipment is preferable</li><li>Plumbing skills, including sizing, and installing copper, black iron, galvanized, and PVC pipe, gauges, valves, meters, and fixtures</li><li>Experience operating tools such as lathes, drills, presses, milling machine, surface grinders and portable hand tools</li></ul><p><strong><u>Education/Knowledge:</u></strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent, vocational certificate preferred</li><li>Knowledge of electrical systems including distribution, circuits, wiring, fuses switches and relays</li><li>Understanding of PLC&rsquo;s, ladder logic, I/O and machine control devices</li><li>Understanding of lubrication procedures including use of oil and grease</li><li>Basic understanding of mechanical systems including belts, pulleys, gears, motors and transmissions</li><li>Ability to read schematics and blueprints along with a sufficient understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to trace problems when prints are not available&nbsp;</li><li>Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and devices&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum two years technical training&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Specific Skills:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to stand 6-9 hours&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to bend, twist, squat, reach vertically 3- hours&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to walk/stand on concrete surface 6-9 hours&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds, using a hoist frequently&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Work Environment:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Noise level Noise level in the working environment is usually loud (80-90 decibels)&nbsp;</li><li>The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles&nbsp;</li><li>Hazards include but are limited to mobile equipment, powered hand trucks, gearbox, rewind shafts, pumps, gears, shafts, rollers, hot working surfaces, and hand tools in maintenance department.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p>ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions is an equal opportunity employer. &nbsp;ABX is committed to equal employment opportunity and equal treatment for all employees and applicants for employment based on individual merit.
