The KKR will use the membership by design concept to build relationships with members and volunteers.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Establishes long-term relationships with members; Welcomes parents and children to the room, answers and solves member questions and concerns and learn members&rsquo; names and call them by their names</li><li>Cares for and monitors children&rsquo;s well being while in the Kidz Korner room</li><li>Initiates age appropriate activities</li><li>Maintains cleanliness and disinfects toys and equipment on a daily basis</li><li>Follows Kids Korner protocol including dress-code, arrival time, phone usage etc</li><li>Is responsible for complying with all Somerset Hills YMCA Policies and Procedures</li><li>Adheres and incorporates the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and educates members about the YMCA mission and goals</li><li>Attends trainings, seminars and meetings as required</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Secures own substitute when unable to keep assigned shift</li><li>Promotes YMCA events and activities to the members</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><br></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>This position requires some experience working with infants, toddlers &amp; pre-scholars</li><li>Customer Service Experience is preferred, but not required</li><li>Must be at least 16 years old</li><li>Ability to provide stimulation, security and supervision to a variety of ages is essential</li><li>Some high School education or equivalent</li><li>Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or obtain within 90 days of hire</li><li>Current Blood borne Pathogens certification</li><li>SH YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Training within 30 days of hire</li><li>SH YMCA New Staff Orientation Training within 90 days of hire</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Benefits of working part-time at GSCY include:</strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li>FREE Individual Membership Access to any YMCA in the Nation.</li><li>10% Discount on most programming at Greater Somerset County YMCA.</li><li>Access to one of the leading retirement programs &quot;Y Retirement Fund&quot; from the first day of employment.</li><li>Opportunities for professional development, mentoring, growth, and promotion throughout the YMCA Movement.</li><li>Supportive and inclusive community for people of all backgrounds and access to Employee Resource Networks.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Greater Somerset County YMCA is a drug free work environment.
