    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for providing ultrasound diagnostic tests for patients.</p><p><strong>Job Relationships</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Reports to the Operations Manager</p><p><strong>Principal Responsibilities</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Perform echocardiograms as directed by physicians.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Explain procedures to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Position patients. &nbsp;Select appropriate transducer.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment. &nbsp;Move scanner over specified area and adjust equipment to focus.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Make hard copy of images. &nbsp;Document tests.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Develop reports and assemble materials for cardiologists.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Maintain ultrasound equipment. &nbsp;Order and stock all ultrasound supplies.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training &amp; accomplishments as required per policy.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Provide excellent customer service and adhere to SC Way customer service philosophy.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Perform other job duties as assigned.</p><p><strong>Education/Experience</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Completion of course in ultrasonic technology.</p><p><strong>Licenses/Certificates</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines required within 30 days of hire.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Must be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International and/or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographers.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Credentialed with echocardiography certification.</p><p><strong>Working Environment</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Must be able to assist patients to and from ultrasound table.
