Producer duties include: gather, write, and select traffic information to run in on-air radio traffic reports, on line, and on social media platforms.  Be able to manage multiple scanner frequencies, digital platforms, & maps for the production, writing, and presentation of traffic reports and digital content. Reporter duties may include sports reporting.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Gathering, writing, recording, editing, and delivering traffic reports as outlined by Audacy Inc.</li>\n <li>Monitoring of traffic gathering assets (ie: traffic camera imagery, scanner listening, etc).</li>\n <li>Post, edit and manage traffic information to Audacy social media accounts  (ie: Twitter, etc).</li>\n <li>Voicing traffic reports on Audacy stations to air on broadcast and digital platforms.</li>\n <li>Provide live reads of traffic sponsors within designated reports by the company including logging commercials and discrepancies.</li>\n <li>Other duties as required by management.</li>\n <li>This position offers AFTRA benefits and applicant must be willing to join SAG AFTRA union.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>More About You:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Required & Preferred:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate knowledge of Chicago area and traffic geography.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 year traffic, news, and/or sports reporting for broadcast media.</li>\n <li>Must be computer literate, and have excellent writing and presentation skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to gather traffic information is a must.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the broadcast area geography and transportation systems is essential.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Role Expectations (included but not limited to):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Studio-Based Reporting: Work from the studio to mitigate risks associated with internet or power outages that could disrupt reporting. Utilize the studio’s backup power and resources to ensure continuous operation.</li>\n <li>Receive and Respond to Traffic Tips: Handle listener tip calls regarding traffic information, received by phone in the studio.</li>\n <li>In-Person Engagement: Collaborate directly with editors and news anchors to facilitate quick communication and coordination, especially in urgent traffic news situations.</li>\n <li>Enhance Ratings through Studio Work: Contribute to improved PPM (Portable People Meter) results by delivering uncompressed audio reports from the studio, which positively impacts overall station ratings.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Important Notes:</h2>\n<p>Please be aware that Audacy will <strong>never</strong> ask you to send money at any point during the hiring process.
