    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Parts Specialist I provides counter service to VDOT employees who need parts/equipment to perform their jobs. The Parts Specialist I will assist with inventory control, data entry in inventory systems, customer service, and may occasionally drive a MANCON vehicle to pick up parts.</p>\n<p>This is an hourly position.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Provide quality customer service to include but not limited to the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Attention to detail</li>\n <li>Review, familiarize with and adhere to Product Group Catalog.</li>\n <li>Review, familiarize with and adhere to Policy and Procedures Manual</li>\n <li>Review, familiarize with and adhere to MANCON’s SOPs and Safety Manual</li>\n <li>Meet and greet customers</li>\n <li>Review supplied requisition forms to ensure they are properly completed (Signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions and quantities)</li>\n <li>Answer questions regarding availability of parts</li>\n <li>Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and provided</li>\n <li>Inform customers when requested parts are available</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Parts Pick up</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Drive vehicle to designated locations to purchase/pick up parts</li>\n <li>Provide company documentation to vendors as required (tax exempt form, credit references)</li>\n <li>Review all invoices at vendor location to ensure accuracy on pricing and quantities</li>\n <li>Return products to MANCON location in a timely fashion</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Data Entry Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory system</li>\n <li>Assist in entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory system</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Inventory Management Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in performing weekly inventory cycle counts</li>\n <li>Assist in performing counts during Wall-to-Wall inventories at site</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Follow established guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance</li>\n <li>Provide 24-hour support during emergency and/or critical operations</li>\n <li>Travel to locations to pick up parts</li>\n <li>Assist with inventory research projects as requested</li>\n <li>Adhere to required procedures</li>\n <li>Participate in the SCM continuing training program</li>\n <li>Assist with Store Supervisor duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid Driver’s License with two years driving experience</li>\n <li>1 year experience with auto parts or heavy-duty truck parts</li>\n <li>24-hour availability during emergency and/or critical operations </li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Delivery Driver experience</li>\n <li>Inventory or warehouse experience</li>\n <li>1 year computer experience</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain P1 or P2 ASE certification</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Requirements</h2>Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.\n<h2>Essential Requirements</h2>Driving, Lifting, Reaching, Sitting, Standing, Stooping, Walking\n<h2>Physical Requirements Other</h2>\n<p>Work is mostly performed in storerooms and warehouses which may have uncontrolled temperatures and dirt/dust/damp conditions. Work is also performed in vehicles traveling to sites.</p>",
