Additionally, we offer specialized military care through the Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital, serving First Responders, Service Members, Veterans, and their families.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our mission is to deliver care that patients recommend to their families, physicians trust for their patients, and employees are proud to provide. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Why Join Us?</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Holistic Care: Deliver personalized treatment plans tailored to patients across the lifespan.</li>\n <li>Collaborative Environment: Work within a multidisciplinary team committed to exceptional patient outcomes.</li>\n <li>Professional Autonomy: Manage your patients care, including assessments, diagnostics, treatment plans, and follow-ups.</li>\n <li>Development Opportunities: Gain experience working with diverse patient populations and complex medical comorbidities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>What You'll Do:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Setting: Inpatient behavioral hospital.</li>\n <li>Type/Schedule: Part time, PRN, weekend, and holiday coverage</li>\n <li>Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning.</li>\n <li>Patient population: Ages 6-65.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs.</li>\n <li>Participate in treatment team meetings to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.</li>\n <li>Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.</li>\n <li>Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health.</li>\n <li>Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>What We're Looking For:</p>\n<li>Licensure: Active Alaska NP/APRN license or the ability to obtain licensure.</li>\n<li>Education: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.</li>\n<li>Certification: AANPCB Board Certification.</li>\n<li>Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-training experience in an inpatient or acute care setting preferred (behavioral health experience a plus).</li>\n<p>Skills:  Strong collaboration and communication abilities, with a patient-first approach.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>About UHSNorth Star Behavioral Health is proud to be a part of Universal Health Services, Inc.
