Description

Position Overview In this hands-on role, you’ll use your advanced welding, fitting, and fabrication expertise to solve on-the-spot design and functionality challenges for our customers. Most of the work will be solution-based, requiring you to get creative and think on your feet—often with no plans or drawings to guide you. It’s the perfect opportunity for a welder who enjoys solving problems and finding solutions in real time. You’ll have the chance to work across a variety of industries, including industrial construction, manufacturing, power plants, commercial sites, aggregate, coal, and more. From installations and repairs to alterations, your work will make a real impact, helping our clients achieve their goals efficiently and effectively. As a Field Welder III, you’ll bring a deep understanding of industrial welding and be proficient in industrial construction. Your expertise will play a key role in the success of each project, and you'll have the opportunity to further expand your knowledge and skills. This position requires a flexible schedule, with travel and out-of-town work. You’ll need to be willing to work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and possible night shifts. What You'll Do Provide certified AWS and ASME welding services to construction trades and to various construction, industrial and mechanical projects Perform general labor for a variety of trades such as concrete work, rebar, masonry, welding, pipefitting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, rigging, excavation, ditching, trenching, etc. as required Weld using different techniques such as SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and oxygen acetylene cutting Perform layouts, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly Perform pipefitting Read welding and piping blueprints Working Conditions Sit, talk, hear, read, and write Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Perform duties on-site and underground at industrial locations Work in extreme temperature conditions and environments Perform work at a variety of heights What You'll Bring 3+ years of industrial welding experience preferred AWS D1.1 and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessels Certifications required Valid driver’s license required Ability to weld components in all positions required (flat, vertical, and overhead) Possess proven SMAW (Stick) welding skills and GTAW (TIG) welding skills – testing required Must be able to effectively design, modify, measure, determine proper angling, fabricate, and weld steel and piping Possess a strong mechanical knowledge How We'll Support You WE ARE NOW EMPLOYEE OWNED Employees are beneficial owners through an ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) that works through a qualified retirement plan.
