Pay Rate $21.00 #TowncountrySD </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain constant surveillance of the pool, deck, and surrounding areas to ensure guest safety.</li>\n <li>Enforce all hotel and pool safety policies and procedures professionally and consistently.</li>\n <li>Respond quickly to water rescues and emergency situations, administering lifesaving techniques such as CPR and First Aid as needed.</li>\n <li>Provide courteous, professional assistance to guests and address questions or concerns.</li>\n <li>Inspect pool areas and equipment to identify safety hazards or maintenance needs and report all incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management in accordance with established procedures.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly pool environment.</li>\n <li>Maintain required certifications and participate in training and safety drills.</li>\n <li>Assist with pool activities or special events as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Current Lifeguard Certification from a recognized authority (e.g., Red Cross or equivalent)</li>\n <li>CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required</li>\n <li>Strong swimming ability and physical capacity to perform essential lifeguard responsibilities </li>\n <li>Excellent observational and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations</li>\n <li>Prior lifeguard or pool safety experience preferred, especially in a hospitality or resort setting</li>\n <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Demands and Work Environment </u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
