          "text": "<p><u><strong>COORDINATES WITH </strong></u></p><p>Accelerate Digital Agility Planning Team (ADAPT), TIM and other departments as needed</p><p><u><strong>PURPOSE OF THE POSITION </strong></u></p><p>This internship provides a practical, hands-on learning opportunity with applied AI, organizational change initiatives, and the use of emerging technologies in a social justice and nonprofit context. The AI and Digital Innovation intern will support coordination, experimentation, and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and workflows across the organization. Working closely with the ADAPT team, they will help track ongoing AI initiatives, support training and capacity building efforts, and assist integration of practical and ethical AI practices into everyday work. In this role, the intern will document AI experiments, configure and test chatbots and AI-enabled workflows, support staff learning, and help ensure AI initiatives are aligned with Oxfam’s mission, values, and responsible technology principles.</p><p><u><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES </strong></u></p><p>AI Initiative Coordination &amp; Tracking<br>\n•Support coordination of AI Discovery Lab and Study Group<br>\n•Maintain an inventory of ongoing and proposed AI initiatives across teams<br>\n•Track use cases, pilots, lessons learned, and outcomes of AI experiments within Oxfam and the NGO world.</p><p>Responsible AI Experimentation &amp; Tool Testing<br>\n•Support small pilots and proofs of concept under guidance from the ADAPT team<br>\n•Research and experiment with chatbots, generative AI tools, and AI-assisted workflows (e.g., research, communications, analysis, internal processes)<br>\n•Test and evaluate AI tools for usefulness, risks, accessibility, and alignment with organizational values<br>\n•Research and help surface risks, limitations, and unintended impacts of AI tools<br>\n•Assist with documenting responsible AI practices and internal guidelines</p><p>Training &amp; Staff Enablement<br>\n•Help design, coordinate, or support staff training on AI tools and responsible use (including sessions led by the ADAPT team or external partners)<br>\n•Develop simple guidance materials, job aids, or FAQs for staff learning AI tools<br>\n•Provide light-touch support to staff experimenting with AI (e.g., office hours, documentation, resource sharing)</p><p><u><strong>POSITION EXPECTATIONS </strong></u></p><p>·Demonstrates Continuous Learning: Stays current with professional standards, trends, and tools in IT systems, and service delivery.<br>\n·Collaborates Across Teams: Works effectively in a collaborative, multicultural, and hybrid environment, fostering a problem-solving culture.<br>\n·Centers Equity and Justice: Applies an understanding of gender justice, racial equity, and inclusive practices to technology support.<br>\n·Promotes a Safe and Accountable Culture: Upholds Oxfam’s safeguarding standards and contributes to a safe, respectful, and secure workplace.
