We are a division of the LEARN Academy, a national leader in special education, academic intervention, and behavioral services for autism.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Essential Job Responsibilities</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' communication abilities in areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive and receptive language.</li>\n <li>Develop and implement speech and language therapy intervention plans that align with students' IEP goals and educational needs.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate speech and language strategies into the educational curriculum and provide consultative services.</li>\n <li>Contribute to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.</li>\n <li>Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based speech and language therapy.</li>\n <li>Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies to support student access to the curriculum.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with the special education team to ensure occupational speech and language therapy services align with the least restrictive environment (LRE) principle.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.</u></strong> Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice due to the needs of the organization.  </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program</li>\n <li>Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology </li>\n <li>Maintain license per ASHA requirements</li>\n <li>Current FL State Licensure</li>\n</ul>\n<p>LEARN Academy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
