    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Waters is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Import/Export Analyst to join the Trade Operations Team in Franklin MA. This individual will be a member of a professional group responsible for the efficient and compliant movement of goods into and leaving the US. The Import/Export Analyst interfaces directly with customs brokers as well as international vendors and subsidiaries to ensure timely clearance and delivery of goods while complying with Waters policies and applicable government regulations.  The group is also responsible for managing the Waters Foreign Trade Zone – ensuring the program is compliant with US Customs regulations. The decisions made by this group daily have direct impact on the legal standing for the company.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Application end date: Thursday 4th June 2026</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicate with internal customers, international subsidiaries, distributors, vendors, brokers, and carriers to ensure efficient movement of goods into the US</li>\n <li>Maintain working relationship with foreign vendors to ensure inbound shipments adhere to Waters procedures and government regulations</li>\n <li>Coordinate customer returns from foreign subsidiaries and distributors</li>\n <li>Manage appropriate import documentation including customs declarations, invoices, licenses, Partner Government Agency documentation, Mill Certificates, etc.</li>\n <li>Audit shipping documentation generated outside the Import Department for accuracy and completeness</li>\n <li>Submit Importer Security Filing for incoming Ocean Shipments</li>\n <li>Interface with customs brokers and carriers to resolve problems at import and proactively resolving problems independently</li>\n <li>Audit Customs entries for accurate tariff classifications, country of origin and valuation Conduct required entry activities to correct discrepancies.</li>\n <li>Analyze and report on various aspects of the importation process</li>\n <li>Facilitate inbound customs process with both NRI and FSFE tariff mitigation programs</li>\n <li>Reporting shipments to Customs in ACE/GTS systems</li>\n <li>Perform Quarterly Accruals for Finance Department to capture freight/duty costs at End of Quarter</li>\n <li>Foreign Trade Zone Export Entries/Admissions/Weekly Estimates</li>\n <li>Maintain relationship with 3rd Party Forwarders – signing off on CTPAT Questionnaire/staying current on contract renewals</li>\n <li>Execution of all Flight Data details (tracking/consolidation notes)</li>\n <li>All other tasks as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in business or at least 3-5 years import/trade related experience.</li>\n <li>Strong Excel Skills required.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of US import/export regulations is required.</li>\n <li>Experience with international freight forwarding process and supply chain</li>\n <li>Foreign Trade Zone knowledge/experience is a nice‑to‑have.</li>\n <li>Experience in SAP highly desired</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact within all levels at Waters</li>\n <li>Detail oriented and demonstrates exceptional organizational skills</li>\n <li>Ability to prioritize, multitask and maintain flexibility in a fast paced, service-oriented environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Description</h2>\n<p>Waters Corporation (NYSE:WAT)  is a global leader in life sciences and diagnostics, dedicated to accelerating the benefits of pioneering science through analytical technologies, informatics, and service.
