We foster an inclusive workplace culture where diversity is celebrated and every voice matters. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>A day in the life:</strong></p>\n<p>The Security - Loading Dock Officer is responsible for overseeing the secure and efficient operation of loading docks at designated client locations. This position plays a critical role in managing deliveries, monitoring inbound and outbound traffic, and ensuring compliance with security protocols and facility procedures specific to each site.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain a professional demeanor while assisting vendors, employees, tenants, and visitors.</li>\n <li>Monitor and control access to client loading docks and adjacent areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted entry.</li>\n <li>Greet and verify delivery personnel, vendors, and contractors entering the loading dock area.</li>\n <li>Maintain a visible presence and patrol assigned dock zones to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized activity.</li>\n <li>Answer incoming calls and manage communication related to dock operations.</li>\n <li>Enforce building and loading dock policies and procedures within established guidelines.</li>\n <li>Inspect outgoing deliveries to ensure authorized removal of property.</li>\n <li>Monitor security systems and alarms related to dock areas.</li>\n <li>Prepare incident and activity reports as required.</li>\n <li>Follow established emergency protocols and support evacuation procedures if needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Knowledge and Skill Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n <li>Valid state-mandated security officer license or ability to obtain one.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in security, preferably with logistics or dock-related responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Reliable transportation and effective communication skills.</li>\n <li>Professional appearance and customer service mindset.</li>\n <li>Ability to write routine reports and complete logs accurately.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with security systems, access control devices, and safety protocols.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation</h2>\n<p>Harvard Protection Services offers a competitive hourly pay rate with health & welfare, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation, and 401K enrollment benefit opportunities.</p>\n<p><strong>About Harvard Protection Services: </strong></p>\n<p>Harvard Protection Services maintains true to our long-standing belief, Employees First and Customer Service.
