    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Job title: Tool Designer (Monday &ndash; Thursday 9 hours, half day Fridays)</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Job Classification: Exempt</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reports To: Tool Room Manager</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Tool Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving tooling used in metal stamping, fabrication, and secondary operations. This role works closely with engineering, production, and tool &amp; die to ensure tooling is efficient, manufacturable, and supports high-quality, cost-effective production.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Design progressive, transfer, and/or line dies for metal stamping applications&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop tooling for brake forming, welding fixtures, and secondary operations&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, DraftSight)&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize part manufacturability&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support quoting by providing tooling concepts, cycle time input, and cost estimates&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Troubleshoot existing tooling and implement design improvements to reduce downtime and scrap&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work with Tool &amp; Die Makers to ensure designs are practical and buildable&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain accurate documentation, revision control, and tool records&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">3+ years of tooling design experience in a manufacturing environment (stamping preferred)&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks strongly preferred)&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong understanding of metal forming, materials, and tolerancing&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to read and interpret complex part prints and GD&amp;T&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with progressive die design&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with laser cutting, brake forming, and welding processes&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Syteline) for documentation and job tracking&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience working in a union manufacturing environment&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Key Competencies</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Problem-solving and root cause analysis&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Attention to detail and accuracy&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Office-based design work with regular interaction on the shop floor&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Exposure to manufacturing environment including noise, machinery, and moving equipment</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Benefits</strong><br>&nbsp;Health, Dental, Vision, HSA, Life &amp; AD&amp;D, Short- and Long-Term Disability, 401(k) with company match, vacation, holidays, education assistance, and gainsharing.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Additional Information</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">All employees are expected to support and uphold the Values, Mission, and Vision Statements of the Company.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The duties described above represent the major elements of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.
