    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position:</strong>&nbsp; Project Engineer</p><p><strong>Reports to: &nbsp;</strong>Project Manager</p><p><strong>Status: &nbsp;</strong> Regular Full Time Position &ndash; Salary/Exempt</p><p><strong><u>Position Value Proposition:</u></strong></p><p>GrayWolf is seeking a Field Engineer with experience supporting a range of projects in the Heavy Industrial Sector. This position interacts with customers, engineers, field supervision and suppliers to plan work and resolve field issues. A Field Engineer will serve construction projects and is expected to be full time on the project site. &nbsp;This position is intended as a development role with a defined career path toward becoming a Project Manager.</p><p><strong><u>Core Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Interact with owners, engineers, and estimators to prepare, review, or validate project estimates, scopes of work, and contracts.</li><li>Provide oversight of field activities to ensure installations are accurately built to established contract documents and quality standards, on schedule, and within budgets.</li><li>Coordinate construction activities with Owners, Engineers, or OEMs, including ongoing owner operations and other construction activities by others.</li><li>Monitor productivity and verify earned value for progress payments, updates, and contractor claims.</li><li>Recognize and initiate key steps in the Change Order Management process.</li><li>Update project schedules and generate status reports.</li><li>Act as front-line technical liaison for Owner and Engineers. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide technical analysis and recommendation to GrayWolf front line supervision.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Core Competencies</u></strong><strong>:</strong><strong><br></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Drive for Results</strong> - Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; is constantly and consistently one of the top performers; very bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results.</li><li><strong>Functional Technical Skills</strong> - Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.</li><li><strong>Interpersonal Savvy&nbsp;</strong>- Relates well to all kinds of people&mdash;inside and outside the organization; builds appropriate rapport; builds constructive and effective relationships.</li><li><strong>Planning&nbsp;</strong>- Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; sets objectives and goals; breaks down work into the process steps; develops schedules and task/people assignments; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks; measures performance against goals; evaluates results.</li><li><strong>Time Management</strong> - Uses his/her time effectively and efficiently; values time; concentrates his/her efforts on the more important priorities; gets more done in less time than others; can attend to a broader range of activities.</li><li><strong>Written Communications</strong> - Is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Education and Experience</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management with (2) or more years of multidisciplinary construction experience.</li></ul><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; OR</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Minimum <strong>(5) years</strong> of similar construction experience in industrial environments such as pulp &amp; paper, chemical, power, or heavy manufacturing, with background in scheduling and project controls.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Skills</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Logical and reasoned evaluation of field conditions and possible solutions.</li><li>Ability to coordinate and facilitate work across a broad range of personnel, supervision, craft, engineers and project managers. Must be collaborative and able to openly engage with colleagues to achieve project goals.</li><li>Ability to direct subcontractors and other 3<sup>rd</sup> party agents.</li><li>Must be very well-organized and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>Must be flexible with day-to-day duties and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.</li><li>Able to translate technical concepts to broader audience.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Desired Skills or Knowledge</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>OSHA Safety Management Training or experience</li><li>Applied project management experience.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and Primavera.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Work Environment</u></strong></p><ul><li>At times this position will require on site work in an industrial environment, and exposure to hazards which require the use of personal protective equipment. &nbsp;</li><li>This position requires as many hours needed to fulfill the daily and weekly obligations required to carry out the functions.
