    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Campus SPED Assistant Director - Phoenix Early Learning Center (K-3rd Grade) 26/27 School Year </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34)\">AZACS is growing, and we invite you to apply to be part of our award-winning team!</span></em></span></p>\n<p><em>AZACS was awarded the 2023/2024 National ESEA Distinguished Schools Award for Arizona, and the 2022 YASS Prize for innovation in education and providing a transformational experience by expanding unique individualized learning programs for autism charter schools.</em></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Arizona Autism Charter Schools (AZACS) is seeking a person with leadership experience to serve as Campus Assistant Director at our Phoenix Main Campus, which serves students in grades 4 through 12. Under the supervision and direction of the Campus Directors, the Assistant Director will ensure compliance with Special Education at the campus level. This role will also ensure the high-quality implementation of special education programs on the campus. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Candidates must be experienced in IDEA law, the special education process, and timelines, and have the ability to train staff in these areas to ensure compliance with the charter. Candidates should also be fluent and confident when interfacing with the Arizona Department of Education, Exceptional Student Services Department. This person will work hand-in-hand with the Campus Directors and Executive Team to promote a positive school culture that focuses on implementing a best-practice educational model to achieve optimal results for students on the autism spectrum as well as students with other special needs.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties:</span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensures the campus remains compliant in the areas of SPED and 504 as well as implements any technical recommendations given by those departments at ADE</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensures federal and state compliance with IDEA</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Plans, implements, and evaluates instructional programs side by side with the Campus Directors</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Works with appropriate staff to develop, maintain, and revise special programs based on systematic review and analysis</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Implements special education policies and creates status reports for the Executive Leadership team</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provides oversight and guidance in the writing of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to all Case Managers, including those individuals who are on Alternative Certificates or newly certified.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Serve as campus 504 coordinator</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Evaluate all related services and the school psychologist staff on campus.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Plans and directs professional development to staff in collaboration with appropriate personnel to meet the needs of special education students</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Participates in all duties and responsibilities as appropriate for an AZACS faculty member</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provides professional development to the campus as necessary, related to special education topics.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Manage 45-day screeners and a site-based Child Study Team for intervention referrals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Collects, analyzes, and reports data in a meaningful manner</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Celebrates the achievements and successes of students</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Performs other duties as assigned</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Supervisory Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Coaches, monitors, and mentors Campus SPED Teacher, IEP Writer, Instruction and Alignment Coach, and other special education staff.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Supervises, coaches, monitors, and mentors related services personnel on the campus.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;
