All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.</p>\n<h2>Duties, Responsibilities & Other</h2>\n<p>KCI is hiring an Engineering Designer to join our Marine Inspection & Rehab team in NYC. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs work that involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures or equipment.</li>\n <li>Assignments include but are not limited to: design and development, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in a specific, narrow area of assignments.</li>\n <li>Works collaboratively with internal and external partners on multidisciplinary design/engineering projects.</li>\n <li>Coordinates the work of Engineers and others who may assist on specific assignments, as required.</li>\n <li>Reviews input from Project or Technical Managers and makes the necessary adjustments and corrections to work product.</li>\n <li>Performs work in a timely and effective manner within assigned schedules and budgets.</li>\n <li>Experience on all phases of design as well as provided construction administration/bid phase services is preferred</li>\n <li>Field experience and ability to work with clients, contractors, and other disciplines is preferred not required</li>\n <li>Multi-tasker with ability to perform structural design and development of construction drawings for concrete, wood, and steel structures</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and/or Skills Required:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program</li>\n <li>Proficiency in required design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit.</li>\n <li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.</li>\n <li>Good communication and technical writing skills.</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to maintain required certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
