    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Pay is $36.50 per hour</p>\n<ul>\n <li> $36.50 per hour</li>\n <li> Overtime after 40 hours</li>\n <li> Work-life balance</li>\n <li> Growing company</li>\n <li> Friendly & Positive culture</li>\n <li> New Equipment & Clean facilities</li>\n <li> Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.</li>\n <li> Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days</li>\n <li> 401(k) plan, Company match</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>P&D Drivers are responsible for transporting, loading and unloading freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner between our Service Centers and our customers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform pre and post trip inspections on the tractor and trailer that is being utilized</li>\n <li>Properly document all freight control processes</li>\n <li>Read and understand maps, road signs, shipping papers, hazardous materials markings and labeling identifications</li>\n <li>Affix correct placards to tractor/trailer when necessary</li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle</li>\n <li>Assist customers in preparation of shipping papers</li>\n <li>Interact and converse with external/internal customers</li>\n <li>Safely operate a forklift to unload/ load products when indicated and needed</li>\n <li>Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs</li>\n <li>Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments</li>\n <li>Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 23 years of age</li>\n <li>At least 18 months of commercial driving experience</li>\n <li>Valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement</li>\n <li>Valid DOT Physical/Medical Card</li>\n <li>No DUI, Citation/Conviction for Reckless Operations in the past 3 years</li>\n <li>Less than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years</li>\n <li>Basic math skills</li>\n <li>Fluent in English</li>\n <li>Legally eligible to work in the United States</li>\n <li>Able to pass a drug screen</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> $36.50 per hour</li>\n <li> Overtime after 40 hours</li>\n <li> Work-life balance</li>\n <li> Growing company</li>\n <li> Friendly & Positive culture</li>\n <li> New Equipment & Clean facilities</li>\n <li> Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.</li>\n <li> Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days</li>\n <li> 401(k) plan, Company match</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>   </p>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>This position requires the ability to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle and perform physical tasks associated with driving, equipment inspections, and local pick-up and delivery operations.
