If you’re looking for steady project work, opportunities to grow your skills, and the chance to work alongside industry-leading professionals - we want to hear from you!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Details:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Start Date: ASAP</li>\n <li>Rotation: 6 days on / 1 day off</li>\n <li>Shift: 12-hour shift</li>\n <li>IRATA Level 1 Certification required (or willingness to obtain)</li>\n <li>Fly-in/Fly-out available from Edmonton or Calgary hubs</li>\n <li>Camp accommodations provided</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform welding on high-pressure systems using various welding processes such as SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding).</li>\n <li>Weld components in all positions including flat, vertical, or overhead positions.</li>\n <li>Ensure welds meet specified standards and pass non-destructive testing methods (e.g., X-ray, ultrasonic testing).</li>\n <li>Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.</li>\n <li>Prepare materials by cutting, fitting, and assembling them as required.</li>\n <li>Select and set up welding equipment, ensuring all tools and materials are in proper working condition.</li>\n <li>Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.</li>\n <li>Make necessary adjustments to welding techniques or equipment settings to correct defects.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records of welds and inspections.</li>\n <li>Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.</li>\n <li>Wear appropriate protective gear and ensure a safe working environment.</li>\n <li>Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for high-pressure welding.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Journeyman Welding Certification required</p></li>\n <li>ABSA B Pressure Certification an asset </li>\n <li>IRATA (any level) required or willingness to obtain</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Safety Certifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO required -or- CSTS-09</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We appreciate your interest in a career at Tacten, however only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further information.
