    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><a href=\"https://www.livebinders.com/b/3569203?tabid=20471671-ac76-5c64-d2fe-c30fea25f56d\">https://www.livebinders.com/b/3569203?tabid=20471671-ac76-5c64-d2fe-c30fea25f56d</a></strong></p><p><strong>What You Should Know About the Registered</strong><strong>&nbsp;Respiratory Therapist</strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>This is a 12-hour shift position with typical hours ranging from 7 a.m./p.m.-7 p.m. /a.m.</li><li>This position is based within <strong><u>Jefferson Regional Respiratory Therapy Department</u></strong></li></ul><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>A registered respiratory therapist assesses and treats patients with breathing disorders, such as but not limited to asthma, emphysema, and pneumonia. &nbsp;They administer respiratory treatments, conduct diagnostic test, and educate patients on breathing techniques and equipment use. &nbsp;Additionally, they collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical diploma in Respiratory Therapy is required. Associate or Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Respiratory Therapy is preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Graduate for an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program</li><li>Current license with the Arkansas State Medical Board and Registered through the Nation Board of Respiratory Care RRT credential required</li><li>Regulatory Requirements: BLS required upon hire or before patient care, ACLS required within 6 months of hire, PALS/NRP preferred</li><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Ability to work well under pressure</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including but not limited to, physicians, nurses, and other respiratory therapists</li><li>Assess patient needs and adjust treatment plans as necessary</li><li>Must be self motivated, have the ability to work independently, maintain a high level of accuracy, and have the ability to handle confidential material</li><li>2+ years hospital experience preferred</li><li>1+ years of respiratory therapy experience preferred</li><li>Experience in critical care and/ or neonatal care areas preferred</li><li>Proficiency in various respiratory therapy techniques preferred</li><li>Experience in an acute care setting preferred</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Benefits &amp; Perks: your health and happiness matters!
