The Contractor will furnish two (2) FTE Phlebotomists to provide <strong>onsite phlebotomy and specimen processing</strong> services to eligible VA beneficiaries.</p>\n<p>Services will be delivered in alignment with laboratory services typical of a <strong>state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility</strong>. The standard of care must meet or exceed nationally recognized standards, including <strong>Clinical & Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) guidelines</strong>.</p>\n<h2>Primary Responsibilities</h2>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities:</h2>\n<p>Contractor personnel may work in multiple laboratory areas depending on service needs and will be responsible for the following:</p>\n<h3>Phlebotomy & Collection</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Perform patient phlebotomy for:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Inpatient ward rounds</p></li>\n   <li><p>Inpatient and outpatient collections</p></li>\n   <li><p>Emergency Department (ED) collections</p></li>\n   <li><p>STAT, ASAP, and timed draws</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Specimen Processing</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Perform specimen processing, including send-out preparation.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Patient Identification & Safety</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Positively identify patients prior to specimen collection.</p></li>\n <li><p>Positively identify samples prior to testing and/or aliquoting.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Privacy & Information Security</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Safeguard electronic and paper patient information in accordance with VA and applicable privacy/security requirements.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Problem Resolution</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Identify, document, and resolve collection and/or processing issues.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Customer Service / Professional Conduct</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Provide patient-centered care.</p></li>\n <li><p>Deliver service professionally to avoid complaints from stakeholders, customers, and patients.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2>\n<h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Experience:</strong> Must have <strong>three (3) years of recent phlebotomy experience</strong>.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Language:</strong> Must be able to <strong>speak, read, write, and understand English fluently</strong>.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Technical Proficiency:</strong> Must be technically proficient in the skills required to fulfill the government’s requirements.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Competency Documentation:</strong> Must be able to provide documentation upon request (to the CO/COR) verifying <strong>current and ongoing competency, skills, and any required certification and/or licensure</strong> related to services performed.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Aptive</h2>\n<p>Arrow ARC supports Veterans Health Administration facilities and offices across the U.S. with health care staffing and program support via the 10-year Integrated Critical Staffing Program (ICSP).
