    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Join an amazing team that is consistently recognized for our achievements and culture, including our most recent Forbes award of being one of America's Best Midsize Employers for 2026!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>The primary job function is to manage product premium volume growth and profitability results within assigned states </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Geo-Salary Information</h2>\n<p><strong><em>An in-person interview may be required during the hiring process</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:</p>\n<p>$118,664 to $230,619 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)</p>\n<p>$107,876 to $209,653 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)</p>\n<p>$97,089 to $X188,688 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)</p>\n<p>The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In CA: Typical hiring range is $157,177 to $218,302</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Product Owner for cross-functional team for assigned states/products, working with relevant departments such as Claims, Underwriting, Sales/Marketing, Customer Service, IT and outside contacts, including agents, regulators and industry groups.</li>\n <li>Independently develops and executes action plans and strategic direction for assigned states and product lines.</li>\n <li>Key contributor to strategic direction for product lines.</li>\n <li>Sets pricing and enhance the offerings to position the product towards profitable growth in the marketplace.</li>\n <li>Ensures quality and accuracy of work; from Identification, Analysis, CBA, Implementation, Post Monitoring, and Cross Functional coordination/communication.</li>\n <li>Maintains alignment with national model (allowing for regulatory and market condition deviations) and implementation to ensure successful development of the entire product line(s).  </li>\n <li>Accountable for product success in one or more assigned states/products.  Product lines to include, but not limited to, Auto and Property.</li>\n <li>Recruits, manages, and develops Product Analysts and Assistant Product Managers.</li>\n <li>Other functions may be assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<p>Minimum:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree required in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree desired in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.\n  <ul>\n   <li>MBA</li>\n   <li>CPCU or ARM</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<p>Minimum:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years of experience working with property and casualty insurance industry products or 3+ years with a Master's Degree</li>\n <li>Supervisory experience required</li>\n <li>At least 2 years of experience as a Product Manager 1 or equivalent position OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>2 or more years of experience leading a state for personal lines (auto or homeowners)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven ability to constructively tackle new or complex problems and make data-driven decisions, often with limited or incomplete information.</li>\n <li>In-depth technical knowledge of industry products and services, philosophy and best practices and the ability to apply such knowledge in a strategic capacity</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills to correspond with management, internal and external customers</li>\n <li>Advanced problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills</li>\n <li>Relentlessly curious</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>About the Company</h2>\n<p><strong><em>Why choose a career at Mercury?</em></strong></p>\n<p>At Mercury, we have been guided by our purpose to help people reduce risk and overcome unexpected events for more than 60 years.
