Manage multiple scatter site apartments in Bronx which are residential settings for our young moms/baby populations. Complete and oversee repairs to ensure all apartments meet safety standards for occupancy. Position reports to Resident Manager Responsibilities Manage multiple scatter site apartments in Bronx which are residential settings for our young moms/baby populations. Complete and oversee repairs to ensure all apartments meet safety standards for occupancy. Position reports to Resident Manager. Manage up to 6-9 scatter site apartments in Bronx and supports the day to day handy work that needs support around the apartments. Clean outside entrance area, sweeping and mopping floors for cleanliness at all times. Assist with the day to day upkeeping of each unit (sweeping, mopping, refilling paper towel, supplies, and disposing of garbage from apartments) Assist in furnishing and cleaning newly vacated apartments before residents move in. Maintain apartments in good working order. This includes interacting with landlords to ensure that they make necessary repairs in a timely manner. When participant moves out of apartment ensure that apartment and furnishings are in good working order for next tenant/youth. Where they are not, make necessary repairs and work with other program and NYF staff to purchase new furnishings and household goods. Assist program staff by accompanying residents to appointments where necessary. Visit apartments on a schedule established with supervisor to make sure apartments are being kept in good order and that residents have all necessary household goods including food. Use of facilities checklist (ACS APA Facility checklist) to document the condition of the apartment on a monthly basis. Testing of the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors every time an apartment is visited. Removal of, replacement, and installation of certain furniture and equipment in the facilities that are broken or have expired such as smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, toilet seats, faucet washers, etc. Some light painting and maintenance work. During start-up phase of program work with purchasing, program staff, and administration to purchase all necessary furnishings and household goods. Work with youth, program staff, and landlords to help resolve issues. Document condition of apartment entry weekly for case records. Track and Document purchases for Monthly review and submission. Adhere to all program training requirements. Related duties as assigned by supervisor or administration.
