You'll grow into a trusted civil advisor while deepening your expertise in site civil land engineering, stormwater management, utility coordination, and more.</p>\n<p>Learn more about Land Development at VHB here → Land Development | VHB</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work collaboratively with engineers, planners, and designers to develop civil engineering plans and specifications for a wide range of land development and transportation-related projects.</li>\n <li>Contribute to design work in stormwater management, site layout, grading, utility systems, and erosion/sediment control.</li>\n <li>Prepare plans and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation experience is a plus.</li>\n <li>Conduct fieldwork as needed, including measurements, observations, and photo documentation.</li>\n <li>Perform engineering analyses and assist in preparing supporting calculations and technical documentation.</li>\n <li>Create text and spreadsheet documents, manage project data, and support regulatory submittals and permitting processes.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with local and regional agencies to help secure development approvals.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, industry partners, and local agency representatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Attributes</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines.</li>\n <li>High interest in water resources, stormwater systems, and sustainable infrastructure design.</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong time management and multitasking skills.</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new tools and platforms.</li>\n <li>Desire to work on unique, complex, and high-impact projects that shape communities for generations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years of professional civil engineering experience.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.</li>\n <li>PE license required. </li>\n <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required. MicroStation Experience a plus. </li>\n <li>Previous experience in land development, site design, or infrastructure planning is highly desirable.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 for the Washington, DC location. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
